Easter: Reflections

Referring to Christ’s resurrection, Pastor Jim noted, “What the church asks people to believe is astonishing.” If you have doubts, how do you deal with them? Are you a person with whom others can be open about their doubts?

Pastor Jim suggested that Mark deliberately left the account of Jesus’ resurrection open-ended so that the reader wonders where the story leads. What thoughts does that idea evoke in you? How is Christ’s resurrection still an open-ended story?

Do you agree with Pastor Jim that the resurrection means we don’t have to try to squeeze everything out of this life? How could that insight change how you live day-to-day?
