Series Overview

Oftentimes, we think of the Christmas Season as leading up to December 25th, and we fill our calendars with parties, events, and hurry. And when December 25th is over, Christmas is over. However, in the church, the four weeks leading up to Christmas are known as "Advent". 

"Advent" itself means arrival, so in this season leading up to Christmas, we prepare room in our hearts and lives for the arrival of the messiah of the world. This Advent, we will focus on the quiet leading up to Christmas and invite our community to establish practices of stillness and silence by examining the quiet stories in scripture that surround the birth of Jesus, the Messiah.
