“Created through the height of the pandemic, this series of graphite drawings explore avenues of connection and communication that transcend the limitations of physical distance. Through the lockdown period, we learned to appreciate the familiarity, consistency, and comforts of our once regular routines and grew to value the ordinary, which is often taken for granted. The imagery navigates the relationship between positive and negative spaces that are developed through the tension between presence and absence.”
