This week, we continue our series on the Lord's Prayer with a sermon that illuminates the profound meaning behind "hallowed be Thy name." This week we continue our Sermon Series "Teach Us To Pray" out of Matthew chapter 6. When we pray "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven", we are interceding and becoming connectors between what is happening in the world and what God's will for the world actually is. This practice of intercession is more than just a practice, it is fundamental to our lives as Christians.

This Sunday we continue our journey through the Lord’s Prayer in our series: Teach Us To Pray. This Sunday we continue our journey through the Lord’s Prayer in our series: Teach Us To Pray. Dan Bilkert will guide us as we turn our hearts and minds to the petition "lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one." By examining personal and biblical wilderness experiences, we will illuminate the nuanced meanings behind this request. Drawing upon language, historical context, and theological insights, we will seek to uncover the depths of our vulnerabilities and the strength found in God's protective grace. In our study of the Lord’s prayer, we heard Jesus’ powerful invitation to pray for his kingdom to come and his will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. That’s a huge ask! And we can pray that big prayer because we believe in a God who promises to move in miraculous ways among us. But sometimes we find ourselves praying for God to move for a really long time without seeing any results, and that can make us grow weary. So in Luke 18, Jesus used the Parable of the Persistent Widow to encourage us to “always pray and never give up”. We hope you’ll join us for this word of encouragement this Sunday!
